Hostilities will on Saturday June 8th, 2024 resume at the ongoing Nwankwo Kanu U-19 Football Tourney powered by Ex-Iternational, Ifeanyi Ekwueme.

According to reports emanating from the Local Organizing Committee LOC, action will resume on Saturday June 8, 2024 at Ngwa High School playing field on Aba-Owerri road.

Mr SunnyBlack Ogbeka, the Aba Centre Coordinator told infonews.com.ng that the teams will return to action for the completion of the group stage matches to determine those that will progress to the next stage of the talent discovery and expository Competition that has continued to attract raving commendations.

He said the games had to be halted owing to the killings of the Five Soldiers last Thursday May 30th in Aba which in no little way hampered movements in the area.

About four matches will be decided between Saturday and Wednesday with two games slated for Saturday while they will only be one match each on Tuesday and Wednesday.

He however praised Ifeanyi Ekwueme, the Enyimba Sporting Director whom he described astute sports administrator with the penchant for creating greatness out of nothing .

He used the opportunity to urge the players to capitalize on the tournament to express their God’s given talent as the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Ifeanyi Ekwueme among other talented stars did during their growing days.
