Anambra State is set to host the second round of Nigeria Beach Soccer League come 15th to 19th May, 2024 in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The tournament which kicked off in Kebbi is expected to host six teams.

The teams include Anambra, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kada, Kebbi United and Nmanko Patigi.

The six teams will compete for bragging rights and Super Four qualifications, while the top four teams will advance to the next stage in Kaduna.

Recall that the Anambra Beach Soccer Association Board was inaugurated last year, and has since worked tirelessly to promote the rapid growth of beach soccer in the East with individual sponsorship.

Their efforts have so far paid off, with the formation of a formidable team that impressed in their debut outing in Kebbi state earlier this month.

According to the the Team’s media spokesman, Okwudili Awam, a state-of-the-art Beach Soccer Arena has been constructed by the Anambra Beach Soccer Association Board to provide a world-class venue for the tournament.

Awam who stated this in statement made available to journalists on Saturday said that the four top teams will compete for the coveted prize in Kaduna, after the second round in Anambra state.

He added, “The Nigeria Beach Soccer League 2024 is poised to be an electrifying event, with the best teams in the country vying for glory. Don’t miss the excitement in Nnewi, Anambra State, from 15th to 19th May.

So far, Anambra Beach Soccer Team is Third on the table with 9 points behind kada BSC, 10 points on second place and Kebbi BSC on first position with 10 points and 8 points goal difference.
