Players that will represent Nigeria in this year’s Bayern Munich World Youth Cup tournament have been selected.

The players were selected at the 2024 Bayern Youth Cup Nigeria tournament held at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu from 25th-27th April, 2024.

Ten teams drawn from across Nigeria participated in the tournament where Bayern Munich U-19 Coach, Lars Weichert and Bayern legend Christian Saba based on technical knowledge scrutinized the players to ensure that the best talents emerge.

The selected players are David Joseph (Team Edo), Joshua Emmanuel (Team Abuja), Salisu Tijani (Team Abuja), Zacheus Tope (Team Lagos), Camara Abdullahi ( Team Lagos), Ushaka Godwin (Team Edo), Emeka Obikwelu (Team Anambra), Victor Marcel (Team Anambra), Murtala Yusuf (Team Ablaze) and Sunday Bright (Team Azan).

Team Nigeria will participate in the world tournament billed to hold in October where they will seek to defend the title the country won back to back in 2022 and 2023.
