Athletics: Enoye, Poland, Ali Boost Princess Madojiemu U-15 Championship

Barely 72 hours from now the Princess Mabel Madojiemu U-15 AthIetics Champs billed for April 25-26 will begin at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

Thrilled by the progress the event has made over the years, former athlete Friday Enoye has made cash and equipment donations to boost the success of the competition meant for schools in Edo State.

Same as Austin Poland former athIete who the sponsor said has made handsome contributions to boost Athletes confidence.

However, the Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission Yusuf Alli is being commended for his support in making stadium and other facilities available for the U-15 AthIetics Championships and “For all these, we are grateful” says Princess Mabel Madojiemu.

Over 500 youth athletes in and around Benin City will participate in the event which has seen sthe likes of Prestina Oluchi Oshonogo and Faith Osamuyi discovered.

Both represented Nigeria at the recent African Games in Accra Ghana.

“The Princess Mabel Madojiemu Athletics Championships is laudable grassroots talents hunt initiative we must support,” said Enoye a former shot put champion.

One of the attraction of this year’s Championships include invitational relays that would be contested by invited neighbouring states.

“We are looking forward to a good outing and I can’t wait to see the athletes compete,” said sponsor of the programme Princess Mabel Madojiemu.

Events on to be showcased include 100/200m, long jump, triple, 400m, high jump, 4×100, 4×400m relays and invitational elite 4×100m relays, winning relay team will pocket N200.000. cash.
