SWAN Takes Full Council Meeting To Kano

After consultations with the national Secretariat of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN), the 2024 Full Council Meeting of the association will hold from 1st to 3rd May 2024 in the ancient city of Kano.

The national leadership.of the association had formally approached the state chapters to bid for the hosting of one of the largest gathering of sports writers in Nigeria.

SWAN Kano chapter had written to the national.secretariat declaring its intent to host the event.

Further to the nod from the national office , the Kano chapter oblige to host the national event.

SWAN Kano led by comrade Zahradeen Saleh had set up a Local Organizing Committee , LOC under the chairmanship of Lurwanu Idris Malikawa and Abdulgafar Oladimeji as secretary to mobilize resources and strategize for the successful hosting of the.prestigious sports media exercise.

The committee through the state chapter has informed the national secretariat of the readiness of the state chapter to welcome their comrades to Kano on May1st 2024.

The national secretariat has approved the proposed date and has activated all relevant organs of the association to ensure the meeting is held on that choice date.

Sports journalists that constitute the membership of the Full Council Meeting are scheduled to arrive Kano, on 1st May, the meeting is slated for May 2nd, departure of all guest is on May 3rd.

Expected to grace the meeting are the incumbent national leadership of the association, former presidents , serving state chairmen and secretaries.
