Super Falcons of Nigeria, Tuesday in Pretoria, South Africa, picked a much-desired ticket to the football event of the 2024 Paris Olympic games, 16 years after its last appearance.

Super Falcons showed grit and determination to nick the ticket, as it dominated proceedings in the second leg. Despite missing several scoring chances in the game, the Falcons held on strongly to pick the qualification ticket.

Speaking to the press after the game, National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, congratulated the Super Falcons for doing the needful to qualify for the Paris Olympic games.

“It’s16 years since we last played at the football event of the Olympics games. I must say, a big congratulations to our girls. They made us proud, as expected,” Ikpea remarked.

“Let me also say a big thank you to the Mr Osita Okeke Chairman and the members of the NFSC in South Africa and the neighbouring countries for turning up to support our girls to ultimate victory.

“The is a victory for Nigeria, and we also congratulate the Minister for Sports Development, Hon. John Enoh, for his unflinching supports for the development of sports in Nigeria.

Ikpea, a multiple awards winning businessman and football enthusiast, went on to admonish government and corporate bodies on the needs to give early and adequate preparations to the Super Falcons, for them to excel in Paris.
