Enyimba FC Chairman, Kanu Papilo Nwankwo “FIFA Ambassador” has expressed that the training Partnership between the NPFL Champions and Hamkam FC will bring further confidence to the club’s Youth System.

Speaking with Enyimba Media on Monday during the day 4 of the one week programme for football youth development, the former Super Eagles Captain said the programme is not just to train the players alone as the coaches are equally having a first hand feel of what and how the European style of football looks like.

“It’s been a good one as you can see the coaches are already inside the pitch not just training the players, also the coaches are gaining from the exercise.

“The programme will among many other things give the players the confidence as well as motivate them to do more. They will also know what football is all about, discipline, working hard and how to be aggressive during attack and defensive play.

“They have lots of respect for our coaches likewise our coaches for them and our coaches understand the importance of the kind of programme as they may not have the opportunity to attend such courses, so we are more like exchanging tactical programmes.

“On sustainability, recall that when we came on board I talked about building a real football structure in Enyimba and after some months we already have the real U15’s, U-17’s and U-19’s in place and with such programmes it would help us to develope their talents and progress them to the main team as well as ship them abroad.

“Enyimba is one of the top teams in Africa and the biggest in Nigeria. They know how big we are and what we have and that’s why they accepted to come and so far they are happy to partner more with us, so it will be a continuous thing.
