Following his teams late minute come back in their first NPFL U-17 Youth league against home state rivals, Abia Warriors, Coach King Joe is optimistic his lads will improve in their next game.

Goals from Divine Onyekachi and Chukwuebuka John Ucheagwu in the 69th and 89th minutes gave the young People’s Elephant a draw in the opening encounter at Enugu centre after the first stanza ended goalless.

Reacting to the media after the thrilling encounter, Coach King Joe said but for the misses his boys would have rapped the game early enough.

“This wasn’t what we really expected, my boys missed lots of chances and some of them were struggling with fatigue.

“All the same we will rejig the team and hopefully we will do better in our next game.

Four teams, Abia Warriors, Enyimba, Heartland and Rangers Int’l are all competing for the slot in Enugu centre as hostilities continue on Friday with Enyimba Young lads taking on the Young Antelopes in their second game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Rangers in the second game at the Enugu center defeated Heartland 1-0
