The Vice Chancellor Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Charles Esimone has promised to host the UNIZIK team that won the just concluded South East University Games.
He made the disclosure during the closing ceremony of the weeklong event that saw over ten institutions participate in six events.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the athletes, coaches and LOC members will be appreciated for quality representation and emerging champions.
Prof Esimone also said that he will personally appreciate all medal winners from all the universities that participated in the South East universities sports festival.
He said he will discuss with the Acting President of SEUGA, Dr Felix Obikwu to come up with what will be given to each of the medalists.
” It is my personal way of appreciating the athletes. From the gold to the bronze medalist will get something from me”, he promised.
