Former Super Eagles player Femi Ajilore has been appointed into the Local Organizing Committee of the Unity Preseason Tournament for NLO Division 1 clubs holding in Gwagwalada Abuja.
Announcing this in Abuja, the General Coordinator of the Annual program that is aimed at preparing teams adequately for their various League, Mr Patrick Ngwaogu said “we are happy to announce that former Super Eagles player Femi Ajilore has been appointed into the Organizing Committee of the Unity Preseason Tournament for NLO Division 1 clubs holding in Gwagwalada Abuja from 24th February to 4th March 2024”,
“Mr Ajilore who is an Executive Board member of the FCT Football Association will be joined with other veterans in grassroot football development like Mr Luke Olaiya and Kayode Olugbenga Bankole”.
Mr Ngwaogu who was the former Sporting Director of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia said the new appointees will join the main organizing committee to ensure that the tournament which is organized in conjunction with the NLO Board member representing the North Central, Barrister Babatunde Akintade is given the best of organization.
The new member of the committee Ebenezer Oluwafemi Ajilore played professional footballer as a midfielder with FC Ebedei, FC Groningen, FC Midtjylland and Middelfart G&BK before he retired in 2017.
He played with the Nigerian U-23 national team in the 2008 Beijing and won the silver medal. He made his debut for the Super Eagles against Colombia on 19 November 2008.
