The need to stand with Jesus Christ was the crux of the message delivered to traders at the one-day prayer crusade organized by Anambra State Markets Evangelism Coordinators Committee, ANSMECC.
The crusade which is an annual programme to mark the end of year held at Electrical Dealers International Market, Obosi was well attended by market leaders and traders from different markets in the State.
Speaking, the Guest Speaker, Rev. Christopher Chukwujekwu Anyanwu harped on the theme of the crusade which is: “who is on the Lord’s side”, taken from Exodus chapter 32 verse 26, lamented that the present day Christians blame the Israelites for turning their jewelries into items of worship, whereas they do worse things like trusting in deities that are powerless.
According to Rev. Anyanwu, the world has become a space for the survival of the fittest, but only those hidden in the blood of Jesus will overcome.
He noted that the blood of Jesus sacrificed at Calvary was the ultimate sacrifice that can deliver anyone in bondage, redeem sinners and save the lost, adding that Jesus Christ who is the husband of the church desires absolute faithfulness from His followers and would one day demand to know those on His side.
In a remark, the Chairman, Electrical Dealers International Market, Obosi Comrade Chike Johnbosco Onunkwo described the hosting of Anambra State Markets Evangelism Coordinators Committee end of year prayer crusade as a historic event for Electrical Market, Obosi, and commended the organizers for their relentless efforts in propagating the word of God in the various markets in the State.
