The management of Nigeria Women’s Football League has announced that the 2023 league season will have some matches broadcast live.
According to the Chairperson, Ms Nkechi Obi, Afro Sports TV will broadcast about 28 matches this season.
“Afro Sports TV came through for us as Broadcast Partner. Hoping to show 28 Star Matches Live this season. There will also be weekly highlights show”,
“Matches from Lagos, Ikenne, Ado Ekiti, Akure, Benin, Warri, Asaba, Owerri, Umuahia, Port Harcourt, Lafia, Adamawa, Abuja, Lokoja and Yenagoa will be broadcast live”.
“I want to encourage Nigerians to go to various stadiums across the country to watch and support their teams as the 2023 season kicks off “.
The 2023 NWFL season will kick off on Tuesday 14th November, 2023 Ekiti state hosting the league opener in the battle of the queens between Ekiti Queens and Delta Queens.
The Ekiti Queens FC and Delta Queens FC clash will be the first-ever NWFL Season Opening match to be broadcast live since the league’s inception in 1990
