NYG 2023: Table Tennis Gives Kwara First Gold

Ahmed Fatimoh and Faruq Hussein have won first gold medal for team Kwara in the table tennis mixed double at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The duo outclassed their counterparts from Delta State by three straight sets (15, 7, 15, 8 and 25, 7) to deliver Kwara’s first gold.

Coach Kehinde Aiyelabegan while responding to sports writers after the victory, said rigorous training at the open and close camps preceding the youth games in the state paved way for their success in the event .

Also speaking, the gold medalists, Ahmed Fatimoh and Faruq Hussein implored their colleagues not to rest on their oars in Clinching more medals for the state as the games continue for another five days.
