It was a harvest of tears as the entire Anagoh Family, in-laws, friends and well-wishers gathered to bid farewell to the late Mrs Eugenia Anagor (Nee Ozoemena), popularly known as Catalogue Umuagbala in Amaezike Village, Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The late Mrs Anagor, 59, died after a protected illness, leaving her husband, children, grandchildren and relatives.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the funeral, the first son of the deceased, Mr Ifeanyi Anagor, also known as Isi na Awa Agu of Agulu, stated that his mother’s death was a big shock and pain to the entire family, adding that although she was sick for a long time, she was was well taken care of but she unfortunately died as it pleased God.

“It is an untimely death but in every condition, we pray that God will grant her soul a peaceful rest in his kingdom. In my next life, she will still be my mother because she was a kind and peaceful minded mother. She trained and nurtured us well. We are grateful to everyone who devoted their time and money for the success of this funeral. May God replenish their pockets accordingly and grant them journey mercies.”

In separate interviews, Kenechukwu Okeke, Cheteze Chekwube, also known as Chekwube OJ and Chuks Utokanandu extended their heartfelt sympathy to their friend, Ifeanyi and the entire family of Anagor and also prayed for long life and prosperity upon the family, adding that even though death is inevitable, there shall not be untimely death in their midst but celebration of life and greater achievements.

“Since it is the will of God that my friend’s mother died, I pray that He will console the family at this time of grief and restore all they might have spent in giving her such a befitting burial”, Cheteze said.
