The new Anambra State Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Olufemi Adeoye has commended Anambra state Football Association Chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi for giving the state a huge facelift via football.
He disclosed this when Iloenyosi paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Amawbia. He expressed his satisfaction and confidence in the way Iloenyosi has gone about his duties and promoting football at the grassroot.
“I thank you all for coming around today. The Force both at the national level and here at the state level has had tremendous working relationship with the football house. I have followed keenly your work in football in the state”,
“Anambra has been my second home, so that is why it gives me great pleasure to welcome you here as I promise you that the Force will work hand in hand with the football house in the state to help keep Youths off the street by promoting the game at the grassroot level especially. Keep up the good work.”
The FA Chairman thanked CP Adeoye for the warm reception and assured him of his and the football family of Anambra state support in making sure that his tenure is a successful one.
“Thank you my CP for welcoming us. I was really happy when the announcement was made that you will resume as the Commissioner of Police in our state. A lot of Anambrarians were happy as well. You are a good man and so many testimonies abound for that. Just keep on being good. I am highly optimistic that this appointment will bring peaceful normalcy to our dear state”,
“We will also partner with you to make sure that we continue our working relationship. Added to that, I have already informed you that there will be a novelty match in your name to welcome you officially. I wish you luck.”
CP Adeoye also pledged to provide trophies and medals for the novelty game.
