Engr. Rita Ofojeama has been invested as Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Aguata Branch.
The investiture and inauguration of the 2022/2023 Exco Members was held at Federal Polytechnic Oko Ultramodern Auditorium.
Shortly after her investiture,she performed her first assignment of inaugurating her Exco Members advising them to always uphold their Vision and mission and assured that Nigerian Society of Engineers shall be one of the best Engineering Professional bodies in the world.
Engr Ofojeama applauded Engr. David Okeke,the Awka Branch Chairman for his support and
Engr. Edmond Nkalu for creating the Aguata Branch, explaining that the branch was approved in May 2019 council meeting and was inaugurated in November 11 of same year with Engr Olufemi Ojo as the pioneer branch chairman.
She appreciated the efforts of the executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the president Nigerian Society of Engineers,Engr Tasiu Sa’ad Gidari- Wudil, COREN President Engr Ali Rabiu, Engr Adekunle Muokolu FNSE, Engr Dr Francisca Nwafulugo , the Rector of federal polytechnic Oko for their love and support to the branch.
The representative of the NSE president Engr Chinasaokwu Okolie in his address of welcome , called on Engineers to use their professional training to impact and add value to the society.
The Representative of the COREN President ,Engr Okechukwu Ugwu advises them on the need for them to uphold the Ethics of Engineering Profession as they are dedicated to providing quality service aimed at professional competence and development of members at all times.
In her inaugural lecture the Rector Oko, Engr Francisca Nwafulugo represented by Engr Ifeanyi Otti deliberated on the theme , Engineering,it’s relevance to National Development and Security assured that she is passionate to advancing the Aguata Branch to an enviable height.
Engr Ofojeama used the opportunity to install Igwe Engr Chukwuka Onyeneke and The fire man, Engr Martin Agbili as the patrons of NSE Aguata Branch and the patrons in their separate marks promised to continue to dish out useful advise for the betterment of the branch . She presented leadership Awards to some deserving Engineers including the the vice president of NSE ,Engr Chinasaokwu Okolie,Engr Mrs Francisca Nwafulugo, Engr Edmond Nkalu, Engr. P.N. Obidike , Dr Tessy Okoli who is the Provost , Federal College of Education Technical,Umunze among others
In their separates vote of thanks,the vice chairman of Aguata Branch Engr. Kene Onwughalu , Engr.. Achukwu Emeka, Engr. Ayodele Femi, Engr. Ibeh Friday C. and the Chairman Organising Committee) Financial Secretary Aguata Branch,Engr Ejimofor Chibuike among others Commended the Chairman Engr Rita Ofojeama and all those who contributed to the epoch making event and remarked that Nigerian Society of Engineers has so far played in the growth and promotion of Engineers in the state and country at large.
Earlier Engr Ofojeama lead his Exco members and President NSE represented by Engr Chinasaokwu Okolie on a courtesy visit on Igwe Chukwuka Onyeneke of Ekwuluobia,an Engineer to intimate him as one of their patron on the investiture and. inauguration
Launching of NSE Aguata Maiden Calendar and Award’s formed the high point of the ceremony.
Engr Rita Ofojeama who is the second chairman of the branch was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Thomas Ofojeama of Okpoko village Isuofia , Married to Mr Linus Eze and blessed with children.
