In continuation of his philanthropic gesture and empowerment of his people, the senator representing Anambra South Senatorial zone, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah on Boxing day, Monday 26th December 2022, paid a visit to patients on admission at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi (NAUTH).
The visit by Senator Ubah was to deliver his Christmas celebration gifts via show of love, empathy, compassion and giving hope to the less privileged and down trodden by offsetting their hospital bills and gifting of valuables and other necessary items to comfort and strengthen them even in the face of adversity.
Ubah who made an unexpected visit to NAUTH, embarked on visits to different wards in the hospital and as well had a heart to heart interactions with patients while in their hospital beds.
“This is my usual way of celebrating the birth of Christ by reaching out and visiting places such as hospitals and caregiver’s home to give them a sense of belonging and ensure they feel the positive effect of this period of celebration and sober reflection.
“Some people out there are facing challenges of different forms, they need our prayers and support always to comfort them, give them a sense of belonging and restore hope that there is a better tomorrow and bright future,” Ubah said.
The Prince of the Senate doled out over 10 million naira to cover the medical bills of the admitted patients and gift items to them.
Meanwhile, the management of NAUTH felicitated with Senator Ubah for his benevolence and philanthropic gesture towards his people, they prayed God for grace, favour and upliftment in all his endeavours.
