The General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos Pius Henwan says the team will be going all out for the league title as the December 18th kick off date of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League draws near
Mr Henwan stated this shortly after an intra-club friendly match organized to mark his 52 birthday anniversary.
The club boss who was elated with the honour done to him by the players and technical crew of the team, assured that the team will be gunning for the league title right from first match of the season, as they aim for another continental outing next season.
He said that the club have all it takes to achieve that feat , believing that with the calibre of players at the team’s disposal and coupled with the motivational packages put in place by the management, winning the league next season is very feasible.
” I am entering a covenant with you today to win the league title for me, the government and the good people of Plateau state who are so passionate about this team”,

The General used the occasion to apologize to the club teeming fans , both at home and in the diaspora over the team’s inability to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup competition last month after losing out four-three on agreegate to Al-Akhdar of Libya, blaming it on ill luck after coming so close in the last attempt.
While assuring that the team will work had to ensure that it returns to the continent next season, the General Manager stated that valuable lessons have been learnt and efforts will be made to ensure that the club gets to the group stage of the competition next time.
He appealed to the players and technical crew to redouble their efforts in realizing the club objectives, adding that management on its part, will not rest on its oars to motivate the team to achieve success.
Captain of the team, Golbe Elisha while congratulating the General Manager on his birthday assured him of the players resolve to continue to give their best for the success of the team.
Good will messages also came from the Supporters Club Chairman, Umar Shehu who eulogized the General Manager for the successes recorded under his stewardship, describing him as an achiever per excellence.
