Plans are underway for the launch of a new league format at the grassroot tagged Community Football League.
The league is the brain child of a popular sports content provider, Silvernews Communication, Publishers of Silver Newspaper, Wakawaka Sports Extra Newspaper and online.
Speaking on the new league, CEO of the company, Mr Kennedy Onwunali, said the league will complement the efforts of the Imo State Football Association in educating and preparing teams in the communities on the need to embrace the new changes in the world of football and see business aspect of the game through practical programs.
He said plans are on to discuss with the State FA on how they can collaborate to make the league a success noting that teams in the league have picked their Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen with which they will hit the ground running by putting all the needed documents and logistics ready before it will kick off next year.
