The Nigerian Export Promotion Council, the country’s lead agency in the promotion of non oil export has begun a two day capacity building program for youths in Anambra state under the zero to export initiative.
The two day event (24th-25th, August) holding at Mr Smith Hotel, Awka is organized by the Council in partnership with Anambra state Emerging Entrepreneurs Network, (ASEEN).
The program is aimed at building the capacity of Anambra youths to handle export trade and help them expand their horizon in business ideas.
Zero to export initiative developed by Nigerian Export Promotion Council in 2017 is aimed at developing the capacity of the exporting community with a view to enhance the performance of the sector.
Welcoming the participants, the state Head, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Mrs Jane Ego Ohiri said the two days capacity building workshop will help the participants learn what will help them engage successfully in export to improve their individual economy, the state and the country at large.
She enjoined them to pay attention to the resource persons who she said will take them to the A-Z on export procedure, documentation, e-commerce etc.
One of the resource persons, the Executive Secretary/ CEO Institute of Export Operations and Management, Mr Ofon Udofia while taking the participants on documentation said that with export the youth can lead successfully through legitimate means.
He took the participants through the crucibles of export.
The program continues tomorrow 24th August, 2022.
I thank God for His grace to the leadership of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council Anambra State Branch, lead by Mrs Jane Ego Ohiri for their initiatives of organising The- Two-Day-Zero To- Export Capacity Building Programme for the youths of Anambra State which was held on the 24/08/2022 to 25/08/2022. The Two-Day-Workshop was a right step towards the right direction for mental restructuring of the Nigeria youths in general. The programme will increase the potential capacity of our youths for pursuit of the right Keys to the Twelve Riches of Life. Napoleon Hill in his 2009 Edition called such programme “Life Empowerment Programme.” I therefore recommend that such programme will be extended to 36 States of Nigeria including Abuja, at least three times in a year to ensure that about 80 percent of our youths must benefit from the programme. I also suggest that the programme be a Three – Day -Programme and a Certificate of participation be given to such Participants who attended the Workshop for their future possibilities in export business. The Certificate will serve as an inducement to promote creativity and productivity for non-oil busineses in Nigerian. It will also push the youths for more innovative ideas for their life endeavours. Congratulations to the NEPC Anambra State Branch for such vital role for Youths Empowerment in Anambra State. JOHN CHUKWULOGHA OBODOECHI, MD/ CEO JCO VICTORIOUS ENTERPRISES LIMITED
